World-class Food Manufacturer seeks an experienced and innovative Production Manager for our Iberia Parish manufacturing facility on our night shift. We are seeking a manager who is a forward thinker and who can anticipate problems before they happen, who has the passion and drive to effectively supervise and coordinate the activities of our team members, acting as a mentor and leader. Position Overview

As our Production Manager, you are responsible for the management of personnel, materials, and assets to ensure all KPIs and production goals are met and ensure a safe and effective running of our plant. You will do this by monitoring and ensuring that standards for production, quality, safety, and cost performance are met. This position has a team including production manager, team leaders, blending operators and machine operators.

and reports directly to our Director of Manufacturing.

You will perform a wide range of operational tasks and managerial duties. You will work hand in hand with our Director of Manufacturing and other members of our leadership team to ensure an organized and efficient flow of materials throughout the plant. In this role, it is vital that you engage in and lead the creation and maintenance of a team based, participative and continuous improvement culture that is focused on delivering value to internal and external customers.

Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safety Policies, and all other company standards in each area of the Bottling Department
  • Maintain a safe work environment for all employees by ensuring that equipment is clean and functional, and all safety devices used
  • Monitor and validate product QC, perform regular quality audits, and ensure that all quality checking equipment is functioning on the bottling lines
  • Inspire, lead, motivate and develop team through regular feedback, 1:1s, Personal Development Plans and objectives
  • Manage production schedule and resolve production problems related to methods, equipment, materials, and workforce
  • Effectively communicate information relevant to all personnel
  • Meet with Team Leaders daily to ensure understanding, goals, and objectives for the day, week, month, and year
  • Ensure that startup team meetings occur at the beginning of every shift
  • Implement discipline and rewards as necessary
  • Complete performance appraisals for all direct reports
  • Complete daily shift change report and other reports as needed
  • Ensure appropriate training and cross training for all team members
  • Budgeting, financial performance, and cost control are key accountabilities
  • Manage the process and people for highest productivity
  • Attend and participate in weekly and/or monthly meetings with Operations Management Team


Position Salary/Compensation
  • Base Salary $95-130K
  • Performance Bonus Plan

Requirements: 
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology, Engineering, Business Management, or related field
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years progressive experience in Production Management with a proven track record of effective people management
  • Must have a strong background in Manufacturing with food manufacturing being a huge plus
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Quality Control (QC) standards
  • Must have experience leading large teams of production personnel
  • Working knowledge of business measurement systems/KPI's
  • Experience in training, budgeting, time management and human relations
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, ADA, and EPA regulations
  • Excellent communicator with strong ability to hold staff accountable for goals
  • Must have strong Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, decision making and communications skills, be persuasive and good with conflict management
  • Computer skills - Excel, ERP System experience (Oracle)
  • Must be able to work night shift
