Description:

We are seeking a strong operational leader to manage and optimize the engineering, production, and quality departments. This role will involve both strategically directing and actively overseeing the day-to-day operations to ensure project workflows are efficient, and production runs smoothly. This position requires a hands-on approach to leadership, where you will implement operational plans and monitor performance, ensuring alignment across all teams.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Oversee and manage day-to-day production operations for a facility of 70 employees, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
  • Lead and supervise a team of production supervisors, drafting engineers, and quality technicians fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.
  • Collaborate closely with design, engineering, project management, and sales teams to align production goals and ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Manage production planning, scheduling, and capacity, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and production targets are met on time.
  • Ensure the production process adheres to quality standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
  • Monitor production performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior leadership on progress, challenges, and achievements.
  • Drive cross-departmental coordination, enhance communication, and implement strategies to improve project timelines and production outcomes.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, introduce innovative technologies, and developing robust operational plans to support growth and meet organizational objectives.
  • Identify equipment needs to efficiently fabricate high quality products that meet the needs and expectations of our customers.
  • Foster a high-performance culture by equipping employees and leaders with clear expectations, actionable feedback, and robust support systems, ensuring they hold themselves to rigorous standards while promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in lieu of a degree will be considered

Experience
  • 7+ years of experience in production/operations management, manufacturing, or a similar leadership role, in a design-build custom store fixtures or related custom project-based environments.
  • Leadership and Team Building: Strong ability to mentor and develop leaders, build cohesive teams, and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Proven record of leading cross-functional teams and driving operational improvements.
  • Knowledge of drafting engineering software/tools (SolidWorks, PDM) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of production planning and capacity management.


Pay Range $100,000 - $130,000 (+ profit sharing). The actual base salary offered will vary based on factors such as relevant skills, prior experience, education, the base salary of internal peers, and demonstrated performance.
