Requirements

We are searching for a candidate with:
  • Ten plus years of manufacturing management experience including 3+ years of lean and continuous improvement experience.
  • Lean or Lean Six Sigma as well as Environmental, Health, and Safety training is a plus
  • Ability to operate with high urgency and personal initiative, while maintaining good coordination and communication with staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

A typical day may include:
  • Coordinates production, receiving, warehousing, and shipping in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures established by the company.
  • Recommend the hiring, firing, discipline, promotion, demotion of employees within span of control.
  • Develops plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees.
  • Reviews production costs and product quality and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division.
  • Recommend budgets, capital spending, manning, etc. to management.
  • Provide leadership and direct manufacturing activity on site ensuring best practice/compliance with Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental and overall product/customer requirements.
  • Promote a culture of adherence in cost control and productivity, ensuring maximum focus across all manufacturing activities based on established key performance indicators.
  • Reviews production costs and product quality and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division.
  • Coordinate site maintenance in addition to plant and equipment procurement ensuring cost effectiveness and rigorous implementation of preventative maintenance program.
  • Lead production planning process ensuring production can meet commercial plans consistent with management objectives and budgets.
  • Set aggressive but achievable targets for productivity, customer service, and safety. Continuously monitor progress towards targets and initiate corrective actions.
  • Develop strong relationships with operations team, maintenance and tool/die team, and sales representatives to meet high service expectations.
  • Work with Continuous Improvement team to improve order integrity and implement Lean/Visual management techniques. Directs production Lean initiatives and processes.
  • Any other responsibilities deemed necessary by Leadership.
