Summary
This position reports to the Vice President of Fabrication and works closely with the Branch, District, Key Account Managers and Customer Sales & Service Representatives while supervising and maintaining the fabrication center labor and material. Manages all aspects of the facility with expectations of meeting operating income and production objectives. This role will manage fabrication, administrative, and designer personnel along with oversight for safety.

Manages all aspects of the facility with expectations of meeting operating income and production objectives. This role will manage fabrication, administrative, and designer personnel along with oversight for safety.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure that fabrication center safety programs are established, communicated and adhered to by all personnel while complying with all applicable safety regulations.
- Ensure the fabrication center's operating income and EBITDA meets or exceeds budget with a focus on breakeven EBITDA.
- Responsible for direction, training, motivation and development of the fabrication center labor force.
- Collaborate with salesforce in quoting and establishing lead times to support customer requirements and drive business growth.
- Ensure that inventory levels support transfer requirement, while keeping days-on-hand at target levels.
- Maintenance of equipment within facility to ensure safe and consistent operation.
- Assisting in products and service issues, purchasing, scheduling, facility maintenance and fabrication center/office housekeeping.
- Establish and implement quality program to ensure consistent product which will result in increased customer satisfaction.
- Integrate corporate best practices into all aspects of the fabrication process.
- Work activities focus on improving efficiency of operation with improved customer service and effective cost control measures.
- Performance appraisal and development training programs in place for hourly employees.
- Set clear goals, objectives and plans to meet targets; track and initiate corrective action when required. Establish expectations for continuous improvement and monitor progress.
Education, Skills, Experience, and Knowledge
- 5-10 years' experience in fabricating insulation products; removable jackets fabrication experience desired
- Associates Degree in a skilled trade preferred
- Previous managerial experience
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and discover new methods as well as new potential opportunities.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Ability to train, supervise, direct and teach other employees.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Must be proficient in ERP systems.
- Microsoft Access or database experience a plus.
Work Environment
- Moderate walking, standing, and/or climbing; light lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.

- This position is located in a fabrication facility environment.
Travel
- 10% travel is required
