Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Production Superintendent to lead manufacturing operations across multiple lines in a 24-hour production environment. This role focuses on optimizing safety, quality, productivity, and team development, while also serving as a key leader within the facility's operational structure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety Leadership: Champion a culture of safety by driving initiatives to reduce incidents and achieve zero lost-time accidents.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage product manufacturing, raw material handling, and finished goods quality to ensure alignment with operational goals.
  • Team Supervision: Lead a team of supervisors, engineers, and technicians while indirectly guiding a large hourly workforce.
  • Resource Planning: Optimize use of equipment, materials, and labor to meet production targets and cost standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Utilize performance indicators to drive productivity, reduce downtime, control expenditures, and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Compliance & Quality: Ensure production processes adhere to company policies and external regulations while meeting quality specifications.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with facility leadership and provide support in the absence of the plant manager.
  • Additional Duties: Take on other responsibilities as needed to support operational excellence.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated success in supervising teams and managing performance, including hiring and evaluations.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills and ability to diagnose and resolve production issues effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and levels of leadership.
  • Systems Knowledge: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Change Management: Experience leading operational improvements and driving process change initiatives.

Working Conditions:
  • Occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs).
  • Manufacturing environment exposure (e.g., noise, heat, heights, machinery).
  • Limited travel required (up to 10 days per year).
