Printing Production Supervisor (Direct Hire)
Location: Dallas, TX 75247
Pay: $70-$95K DOE
Shift: 6am-4:30pm Mon-ThursResponsibilities
  • The Production Manager will be responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of press operators by performing the following duties.
  • Inspects plates, web, and other materials to be used in producing a job to verify conformance to specifications and is responsible for verifying color match of jobs to job specs.
  • Checks production schedule and verifies plates, inks and other required materials are available in advance of an order going to a Press Operator.
  • Consistently maintains equipment and may make minor repairs when necessary.
  • Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
  • Responsible for implementing and following Lean Manufacturing procedures and is a member of one or more Lean manufacturing development and implementation committees.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Trains new Press Operatorson proper and safe use of tools and equipment.
  • Maintains production records in an efficient and organized manner.
  • Keeps work areas clear and organized; maintains housekeeping standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Directly supervises personnel in the manufacturing departments.
  • Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience of at least two years, Flexo Operator experience a MUST with a successful track record for leading teams.
  • Five plus years of production experience in a manufacturing environment. Printing, packaging, or similar industry experience is required.
  • Must be able to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals and effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and management.
