We are looking to fill a permanent, full-time position for a Product Manager at our Ville St-Laurent offices.

The Product Manager is responsible for managing their product categories as a whole (managing the existing range as well as developing and adding new products).

The product categories for this position are lighting.

More specifically, your main tasks will be:
  • Define the product strategy in accordance with the company's overall strategy.
  • Conduct all upstream market and competitive studies (threats-opportunities, strengths-weaknesses) to understand and anticipate market needs.
  • Manage the performance of the existing range in the profit center (sales growth, promotions, inventory management according to the product life cycle, compliance with the financial performance criteria of the range).
  • Create new products or services by coordinating the launch action plan involving the different departments of the company (purchasing, logistics, marketing, sales, operations, pricing management, compliance, etc.).
  • Define the product specifications allowing the launch of new products.
  • Develop the marketing mix for new products, and ensure the implementation of marketing tools (brochures, technical catalog, showroom, website).
  • Develop the training program for the sales team (internal and external) and provide the training.
  • Work in collaboration with suppliers and customers for the development of new products.
  • Manage the complete product lifecycle. Manage commercial agreements with our business partners.
  • Act as the primary expert in their technical field.
  • Support internal and external customers in any technical request, sales assistance for their product category.

Requirements;
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, marketing, or product management profile.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in product or category management.
  • Experience in the B2B sector (an asset). Experience in managing "technical" products (an asset).
  • Knowledge of the industry (kitchen and furniture market) (an asset).
  • Excellent communication skills (advise, coordinate, convince).
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Autonomous, able to work effectively in multiple project management mode.
  • Ability to manage priorities. Bilingual (French-English).
  • Ability to negotiate with external partners (suppliers, subcontractors).
  • Ability to motivate and convince internally (sales force, inter-departmental coordination).
  • Pragmatic (importance of being close to the "field").
  • Willing to travel. Good computer skills: Basic software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiar with ERP system or similar.
  • Knowledge and use of CAD software is an asset.
  • Familiar with the web environment, e-commerce.
