Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
- Review and edit executive-level technical briefings, documents, and reports for Senior Executive Service (SES) leadership within OUSD(R&E).
- Review and edit mission engineering studies and technical documentation.
- Review Government Accountability Office (GAO), Inspector General (IG), and Congressional Reports to prepare executive-level responses and recommendations related to engineering.
- Review and prepare executive-level communications for outreach and engagement with national and international organizations.
- Support strategic communications by developing, reviewing, and editing articles, briefings, newsletters, websites, reports, packages, and guides.
- Provide back up to the Program Analyst/Workflow Manager on tasking management (e.g. CATMS, Microsoft Planner, etc).
- Collect, organize, and tech edit the Monthly Status Report (MSR) technical inputs.
- Support the Mission Integration Front Office in general staff duties and other tasks as assigned.
- Minimum five (5) years of work experience.
- Experience developing briefings, documents, and reports for senior leaders.
- Experience reviewing, disseminating, controlling, and tracking tasking/actions.
- Experience reviewing staff packages for completeness, issues, and configuration control.
- Five (5) years of experience in technical writing/editing work products written by technical teams.
- Expert knowledge in developing graphically-intense PowerPoint briefings to convey complex topics.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt to specific organizational style conventions.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently under minimum supervision in a fast-paced dynamic work environment.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Military or OSD Headquarters Element experience.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Bachelor's degree in technical communications, journalism, English, public relations, marketing, or a related field, DESIRED.
- Active TS/SCI eligibility.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
