The Office of Strategic Communications and Civic Engagement is seeking to hire a Program and Operations Supervisor.
The Program and Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing programs and operational functions to meet organizational goals. This includes coordinating resources, monitoring performance, and improving processes to enhance service delivery. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills. A Program and Operations Supervisor oversees the planning, implementation, and daily operations of programs and services within an organization. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining compliance with policies and regulations.

Duties include but are not limited to

  • Program Management
  • Strategic Planning
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs.
  • Ensure program goals align with the organization's mission and objectives.
  • Monitor program performance, budgets, and reporting requirements.
  • Develop strategies for continuous program improvement.
  • Operations Management
  • Ensure operational processes are efficient and compliant with regulations.
  • Manage resource allocation, workflow, and service delivery.
  • Implement policies and procedures to improve productivity and effectiveness.
  • Supervision and Leadership
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff and volunteers.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and professional development.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Stakeholder and Community Engagement
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and funders.
  • Represent the organization in community meetings and events.
  • Collaborate with external partners to enhance program impact.
  • Compliance and Reporting
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on program performance.
  • Manage risk and address operational challenges.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, or field related to assignment
  • Four years of paraprofessional experience in area related to assignment
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience (as approved by the department) may be used to meet the minimum qualifications of the classification

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • A Master's degree in business, public administration, or field directly related to assignment may be preferred
  • Three of more years of experience in Public Relations, Communications, and Marketing
