Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care (UBHC), established in 1971, offers a full continuum of evidence based behavioral health and addiction services for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors throughout New Jersey. UBHC's 1,060 experienced behavioral health professionals and support staff are dedicated to treatment, prevention, and education. UBHC, one of the largest providers of behavioral health care in the country, has a budget of $260 million and has 15 sites throughout New Jersey. Services are readily accessible and include: inpatient, outpatient, partial hospitalization, screening, crisis stabilization, family/caregiver support, community outreach and case management, supportive housing, supported employment, prevention and consultation, employee assistance programs, and a licensed therapeutic school from preschool through high school. Specialty services include the New Jersey suicide prevention helpline and peer help lines for police, veterans, active military, teachers, mothers of special needs children and child protective service workers. In FY2016, UBHC treated 16,199 consumers, had 24,502 admissions, and touched the lives of 19,441 individual callers through peer support. In addition, UBHC is the primary mental health training resource for the New Jersey departments of Human Services, Children and Families, and Corrections, delivering 16,000 trainings each year.

The primary purpose of the Program Coordinator is to function as a member of the clinical and administrative leadership team in the Specialized Addiction Treatment Services (SATS). Primarily responsible for providing supervision to multi-disciplinary staff and oversight of SATS treatment services for adults. Ensures compliance with all regulations.

- Supervises staff on a daily basis, providing administrative direction, group coverage, and clinical updates.
- Provides staff with direction regarding consumer/patient intervention through individual supervision, group supervision, team meetings, and case conferences.
- Provides clinical/administrative coverage of the unit's daily operations.
- Maintains client satisfaction level of the office in the area of client-staff interaction at or above the benchmark.
- Provides specialized addiction treatment/co-occurring services and ensures that all subordinate clinical staff does the same.
- Provides individual, group, and family psychotherapy, as clinically indicated to meet the direct service hours established for this position.
- Monitors staff compliance with all documentation requirements on a consistent basis via documentation reports, supervisory tools and chart review.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
- Master's Degree in a behavioral health field or a relevant field plus four (4) years of postgraduate experience.
Certifications/Licenses
- Must possess a license to treat clients with co-occurring disorders.
- Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (L.C.A.D.C).
- Applicants possessing a degree in Social Work must have an active New Jersey certification/licensure as required by the State Board of Social Work.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience in working directly with adults with severe and persistent mental illness, their families, and the agencies that serve them.
- Demonstrated ability to work with clients and staff both individually and in groups.
Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) year of supervisory experience.
