Reporting to both the Assistant Director of Student Conduct (Off Campus/Student Organizations) and the Assistant Director of Student Conduct (Residence Life Conduct), the Program Coordinator I supports and coordinates the adjudication of the Code of Student Conduct (specifically Residential Conduct, Off Campus, and Student Organizations).

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Coordinator I for the Student Affairs - Dean of Students department. Reporting to both the Assistant Director of Student Conduct (Off Campus/Student Organizations) and the Assistant Director of Student Conduct (Residence Life Conduct), the Program Coordinator I supports and coordinates the adjudication of the Code of Student Conduct (specifically Residential Conduct, Off Campus, and Student Organizations).
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Assists in the administrative coordination and adjudication of student cases, corresponding regularly with accused students, parents/guardians, residence life staff, attorneys, campus partners, organizational stakeholders and advising students in Scarlet Honor Council (SHC) on programmatic and policy related matters.
- Assists in managing the respective administrative duties that accompany each central responsibility including but not limited to: proper maintaining of confidential student disciplinary records, managing case tracking with office database (Maxient), overseeing the successful completion of student sanctions, running clearance checks on student disciplinary records, and crafting various correspondence to be distributed to appropriate parties

Minimum Education and Experience
- A bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- A minimum of 2 years professional experience in higher education, preferably student affairs.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- To present ideas and information clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to assist in running analytical reports and to present statistical material in chart and graph form.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in higher education, student affairs or related field.
- Prior experience working in a student conduct office at a college or university.
- Familiarity with student organizations.
- Experience with student conduct databases, including Maxient.
