Experience:
Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in WIA/WIOA or other program management which involved responsible analytical, planning, or administrative duties; of which one (1) year included responsibility for organizing and directing the work of others.
Education:
Equivalent to graduation from a four (4) year college or university. Additional full-time, paid qualifying experience may be substituted on a year-for- year basis for the required education.

Optional annual sell back of a portion of accumulated vacation leave hours (maximum - 40 hours).
SICK LEAVE
0.0625 hours sick leave for each paid regularly scheduled work hour. 16 days (130 hours per year) with unlimited accumulation. Optional annual buy back of a portion of accumulated sick leave hours upon meeting certain criteria.
HOLIDAYS
Twelve paid holidays annually plus two optional holidays.
BEREAVEMENT LEAVE
Five (5) regularly scheduled consecutive workdays.

The County offers a 457 Deferred Compensation Plan. Employees choose their investment funds and can make pretax contributions to the plan up to the maximum allowable.
MERCED COUNTY EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT ASSOCIATION
The retirement plan is a defined benefit plan administered pursuant to the County Employees Retirement Law of 1937 and other provisions of the California Government Code. MCERA members also pay into Social Security. The applicable benefit formula is dependent upon your hire date with an MCERA employer; your pension amount will be determined by your age, years of service and final compensation amount.

- Plans, develops and manages various job training programs, procurement processes, contracts and grants.
- Develops and monitors budgets in accordance with program intent and regulations.
- Supervises and evaluates the performance of paraprofessional and professional staff engaged in the activities of a major function of the program.
- Assigns work, allocates staff resources, and reviews day-to-day work activities of the personnel in the unit assigned.
- Reviews and redirects work activities as necessary to insure the overall continuity of the performance of the staff under their direct supervision.
- Schedules and conducts periodic meetings and conferences with assigned staff in order to plan and review work activities.
- Completes reports on assignments and reviews written material prepared by assigned staff for logic, content, grammar, and organization.
- Performs or directs program-wide analytical studies to enable the Workforce Development Board and the Director and Deputy Director to plan and evaluate the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program.
