Job Description:

The Program Manager, Cybersecurity, will support the overall cybersecurity portfolio at the ABA including the coordination of relevant committees, identification of emerging risks, and assistance in the development of mitigating programs specifically focused on artificial intelligence and quantum computing.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in overall coordination of the cybersecurity portfolio at ABA focused on emerging technology risks, cybersecurity risks, and third-party risk management issues.
Research, analyze, and communicate potential risks associated with emerging technologies leveraged by the financial services sector (e.g. artificial intelligence, quantum computing, cloud computing).
Assist in the development of surveys and compile and summarize key findings.
Support internal coordination efforts with colleagues responsible for third-party risk management, innovation, and IT.
Contribute to the development of comment letters and draft congressional testimonies.
Assist in the development and updating of toolboxes.
Assist in the creation of presentations, call and meeting agendas, white papers, e-bulletins, and other resources on cybersecurity and emerging technologies for use by the financial services sector.

Support, with the future opportunity to lead, the development of new programs that help bankers mitigate potential risks from cyber-based technologies such as artificial intelligence "deepfakes", quantum computing advances, cloud computing, and other technologies:
Assist in the development of a program to identify near/mid/long-term risks from the ongoing development of quantum computers and help build a phased mitigation strategy to assist ABA members.
Assist in the development a program to identify near/mid/long-term risks from the ongoing development of Artificial Intelligence Deepfakes and help build a phased mitigation strategy to assist ABA members in countering the potential risks.
Track emerging trends and risks in the cybersecurity domain, such as changes in ransomware tactics or denial of service attacks and propose programmatic approaches that could be developed to aid members in meeting these threats.

Assist in supporting various Committees, Subcommittees, and Working Groups including Cyber and Physical Security and some Large Bank Back Office Operations committees. Initial duties include assisting in the development of agendas, securing speakers, managing virtual meetings, taking notes, and fulfilling actions resulting from calls and in-person meetings in addition to:
Onboard new members and updating rosters.
Work with committee chairs to finalize meeting agendas and distribute to members.
Research, select, and draft proposed content for a weekly newsletter.
Support the development, analytics and distribution of member-related survey's under the supervision of the SVP.
Attend industry conferences and meetings to increase subject matter expertise and report highlights to colleagues.
Monitor industry trends and identify issues to raise and at the project level; and
Maintain group distribution lists and documents.

Monitor current and evolving issues and updates and provide enhancements to web pages, online interactive platforms, bulletins and archives, publications, and members' pages.

Required Experience:
Master's degree in a related field is required.
0-2 years of relevant experience related to banking, trade associations, or technology experience strongly preferred.
Coursework or experience in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and programming experience.
Enhanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to assist or lead the development of surveys, presentations, and reports.
Excellent written and verbal communication with strong editing skills are required.
Ability to work with a variety of members and staff at all levels.
Ability to work independently, think critically, and provide recommendations for improving existing processes.

Preferred Experience:
Ability to understand trends in technology and security that could impact members
Basic knowledge of the financial sector, regulatory frameworks, financial trade associations, and rulemaking and comment letter process.
Basic knowledge of financial sector cloud computing implementation strategies and risk management issues.
Basic knowledge of financial sector operational resilience concepts, information sharing frameworks and operational risk issues.

Salary Band Range:

$59,273.00 - $80,766.00 - $102,260.00
