Duties & Responsibilities

  • Initiative Leadership and Coordination:
    • Lead the initiative of data democratization within the organization under the guidance of the Director.
    • Develop and execute strategies to promote the effective utilization of data and analytics services.
    • Coordinate the efforts of the DnA Ambassador Team - Business Analysts to achieve initiative objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Advocacy:
    • Advocate for the adoption of existing data solutions and DnA service delivery platforms among Data Champions and Data Citizens.
    • Foster collaborative relationships with Data Champions, Data Citizens, and DnA Data Professionals to promote data literacy and utilization.
    • Serve as a point of contact and subject matter expert for stakeholders, providing consultations and proposing solutions for complex projects.
  • Training and Capacity Building:
    • Conduct program overview sessions to increase awareness of the initiative and related programs.
    • Deliver training sessions on foundational services and features to enhance data literacy among stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with the Data Academy team to enroll Data Champions in training programs and facilitate post-training support.
  • Technical Support and Expertise:
    • Provide technical assistance and guidance to Data Champions and Data Citizens on how to questions related to EPIC, Tableau, and Snowflake.
    • Address inquiries regarding technical functionalities, troubleshooting, and best practices for utilizing EPIC, Tableau, and Snowflake.
    • Act as a subject matter expert in EPIC, Tableau, and Snowflake, offering expertise on data visualization, querying, and data management within these platforms.
  • Collaboration and Support:
    • Collaborate with facility core leads and members to offer technological support and guidance.
    • Provide assistance and guidance to extended core members and Data Champions as needed.
    • Collaborate with local teams to enhance data usage and clinical workflows while ensuring compliance with standards for compliance and governance.
  • Feedback and Continuous Improvement:
    • Gather feedback from stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in data and analytics services.
    • Communicate feedback to relevant teams and stakeholders for process enhancement and service optimization.
    • Monitor data champion tools and data usage, encouraging efficient utilization of provisioned data assets, tools, and technology.


Minimum Qualifications
1. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics/Statistics, Telecommunications, Data Communications, or a related field of study; and
2. Five (5) years of progressive, responsible experience in the field of data processing, computer systems and applications.
Operations Specialty requires supervisory experience (5 years).
Network Services requires a telecommunications background and experience.
3. Broad knowledge and expertise in the characteristics of computers, peripheral devices, communications systems and hardware capabilities, programming languages, E.D.P. applications, systems analysis methodology, data management and retrieval techniques; or
4. A satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education and experience.

Department Preferences

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and other Requirements:
  • Proven experience in leading initiatives related to data analysis, data democratization, or business intelligence.
  • Strong understanding of data analytics concepts and tools.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Experience in training and development initiatives.
  • Knowledge of compliance and governance standards related to data management and analytics.
  • Proficiency in EPIC, Tableau, and Snowflake with the ability to provide technical support and expertise.

Years of Experience:
  • 3+ years of business analyst experience, project manager, product manager, portfolio manager
