YOUR DAY TO DAY:

We are seeking a Program Manager II to lead and oversee multiple programs, ensuring successful execution from initiation to completion. This role is responsible for driving project performance, meeting financial objectives, managing risks, maintaining schedules, and fostering strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of company products and services and the ability to align program requirements with business objectives and customer needs.

YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive program, subcontractor, and material plans that align with business goals.
  • Identify resource requirements and assign key roles within projects.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to schedules and taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Balance risks and opportunities while executing strategies to meet technical and budgetary requirements.
  • Oversee financial performance, ensuring revenue targets, profit margins, and cash flow objectives are met.
  • Present program status updates to senior leadership and external customers.
  • Serve as the primary customer interface, addressing technical matters with engineering support.
  • Lead teams in risk identification and mitigation, as well as opportunity capture activities.
  • Manage scope changes and negotiate cost, price, or schedule adjustments as necessary.
  • Develop and execute proposal plans and strategies to drive business growth.
  • Foster strong customer relationships and identify new business opportunities within the market.


YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE:

  • Strong understanding of products, technologies, and their applications.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance metrics.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
  • Ability to analyze financial data and drive strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in evaluating work quality to meet customer requirements.
  • Demonstrated success in leading proposals and serving as a proposal manager.
  • Ability to lead teams in a matrix organization and drive collaboration.
  • Strong leadership skills, including team building, conflict resolution, and motivation.
  • Knowledge of business strategy, supply chain management, and government contracting practices.
  • Experience mentoring and developing program management professionals.
  • Proficient in negotiation and decision-making related to program execution.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, capable of obtaining and maintaining a Department of Defense (DoD) clearance.


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • 3-5 years of experience in program planning, scheduling, or project management.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing and technology, preferable in SatCom or Telecom.


Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to travel up to 15% domestically, with occasional international travel.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.

Salary Range $90000 - $125000 / year
