Our Team
Netflix's Content & Business Products (CBP) department builds and buys technology to optimize and automate the content journey - from an idea (or pitch) to hitting play and enjoying it on the Netflix streaming service. We partner with cross-functional teams to develop cutting-edge solutions that are revolutionizing the entertainment industry.
The Product Directors & Managers in CBP need to [1] plan, prioritize, and execute across multiple product domains; [2] align with multiple sets of business stakeholders; and [3] connect their work to the broader product organization. To support these three altitudes of work, the CBP Operations team provides tactical support to relieve operational overhead.
CBP Programs & Ops strives for consistency via comprehensive support to our product domain leaders and product managers. Our mission is to enhance operational efficiency by centralizing and managing essential resources, fostering effective communication, and exploring innovative technology solutions. To achieve our mission we develop operating models tailored to the product domains we support, helping to provide them with tools and insights needed for our dynamic environment - this provides a foundation we'll use to build towards a cohesive operating model for the CBP department.
The Role
Each Program Manager of Operations is responsible for establishing a structured framework and applying operational rigor to each product domain/subdomain they're assigned to. As a highly organized and execution-driven contributor, you will partner with cross-functional leaders (from Product, Design, Engineering/TPMs, Data Science & Engineering, etc.) to implement & improve annual planning, quarterly planning, OKR & project tracking, communication, and collaboration. When needed you will serve as an end-to-end Program Manager for high-priority initiatives that require dedicated support.
There will be initial focus areas for the role (as laid out in this job description), but the full scope of the role may evolve as needs from CBP leadership change. As operating models become more established in domains/subdomains, we will help maintain structure as we take on tactical support for large strategic initiatives.

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $120,000 - $515,000.

Key Responsibilities
Our goal as a team is to create structure for CBP domains & their subdomains to operate with more rigor, to amplify their successes, and to alleviate operational work. To achieve this, each CBP Operations Program Manager will:
- Aid Product Directors & Managers with tactical programming related to department & domain-level work:
- Help organize & support annual planning (e.g. create and/or maintain processes, socialize templates, ensure target deadlines are being met) so they can focus on brainstorming, discovery, measurement, and resource allocation.
- Aid with programming for on/offsites.
- Provide tactical support to track objectives (business goals) inclusive of initiatives and projects. You will manage the tracking of OKRs, helping teams drive progress by ensuring objectives are top of mind; this information will be used for consistent QBR reporting and leadership check-ins.
- Centralize information and increase visibility for product teams and stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation and systems used by the product team(s); we'll first focus on the global aspects of annual planning, ensuring OKRs ladder up to that process, then follow by assisting with quarterly planning.
- Socialize CBP work via newsletters & appropriate forums.
- Work closely with counterpart teams such as the CBP Executive Administrative and the Content Engineering Technical Program Management teams. Positive partnerships with these teams is essential for the collective success of the department. We collaborate with them by sharing important information, co-authoring documentation, co-programming events, and building & maintaining systems for visibility and tracking purposes.
Requirements
- 4+ years of applicable program management experience in a Product organization.
- Proven track record of improving operating models that stretch across multiple business functions.
- Communication skills to clearly articulate and evangelize concepts across a wide organization.
- Comfort using a variety of project management and product development tools.
- Experience in stakeholder relationship management.
