Job Summary
As a senior leader within the EPMO, the EPMO Program Manager is critical to the success of the firm's initiatives through the direct leadership and management of complex business and technology solutions focused in support of specific functional area(s) or enterprise initiative(s). As a Program Manager, one is required to balance in-depth skills in project management, business relationship management and team leadership to manage multi-track, global projects delivering competitive advantage for the firm.

Working with the Director of the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) the Program Manager will directly manage a team of Project Managers responsible for the execution of strategy, business analysis, resource allocation and project management for "Run the Business" projects necessary to support existing business workflows and solutions of the firm. As a senior member of the EPMO team, the Program Manager will partner with stakeholders and technology colleagues across the firm, leveraging a deep knowledge of the asset management industry, to define and deliver complete business solutions. This position will be expected to oversee, and at times manage, the full lifecycle of projects including business, operations and technical efforts. In addition, the Program Manager will provide leadership and direct oversight for all Project Managers assigned to Run the Business initiatives. In addition to leadership of programs at the firm, the Program Manager partners with the EPMO Director to drive adoption of project management best practices and standards within the EPMO and across the broader firm wide community. The Program Manager looks for opportunities to extend and further project management best practices when applicable and actively solicits feedback from business stakeholders and technology partners as procedures and processes are refined.

Principal Responsibilities
Further the business goals of the firm through the management of integrated programs made up of multiple projects.
  • Build strong relationships with business divisions and departments across the firm globally; represent, champion and further the goals and opportunities of teams in support of assigned programs.
  • Lead team of Project Managers; provide career development, direction and motivation to team.
  • Provide project management, prioritization, direction, and leadership to team members in order to accomplish defined project deliverables.
  • Provide ongoing coaching to team members.
  • Manage integrated, multi-track projects and/or programs of multiple projects.
  • Lead development and tracking of integrated project plans, issues lists, risks, dependencies etc.
  • Manage program scope, budgets, project plans and communication plans
  • Ensure key program-wide roles and responsibilities a redefined.
  • Actively communicate with project team members, sponsors, and stakeholders
  • Create metrics to measure project success
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the field of Project Management, maintaining a solid understanding of the field and its related technologies.
  • Performs additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree orequivalent required. Master's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Fifteen or more (15+) years of related project management experience within the asset management or financial services industry.
  • Practical experience leading large and strategic projects through all phases of delivery; ideally within the corporate space of an asset management firm.
  • Proven experience leading and coaching project managers within an overall program.
  • Strong interpersonal and management skills, including the ability to work across the organizationand interact/influence/negotiate effectively at all levels of management and peers.
  • Proven ability toalign functional expertise and solutions to meet the changing demands ofclients, competitors and regulators.
  • Extensive experience in project lifecycle management, feasibility analysis and conceptual design through development, implementation, training and rollout.
  • Previous member of an Enterprise or Project Management Office preferred.
  • Financial skills to manage project's operating and capital budgets.
  • Excellent interpersonal,communication, and management skills. Experience designing and delivering presentations and training to diverse audiences, including senior management, administrative staff members,technical and non-technical personnel, and clients.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
