Job Description

The Program Manager is responsible for ensuring all project requirements are correctly gathered, understood, and properly translated for execution. The role involves developing, defining, and managing project plans and schedules to ensure on-time delivery. The Program Manager will manage project plans with a focus on achieving project goals, including critical path analysis and the use of performance metrics to ensure program success within scope, quality, time, and cost constraints. Additionally, the role involves coordinating team efforts to develop integrated project plans and risk analyses, facilitating technical discussions, and providing regular project status updates to leadership.
Responsibilities

• Develop, define, and manage project plans and schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
• Manage project plans with a focus on achieving project goals, including critical path analysis and performance metrics.
• Coordinate team efforts to develop integrated project plans and risk analyses with action plans to mitigate risks.
• Review project schedules with functional managers and project coordinators.
• Work closely with engineering teams to coordinate design inter-dependencies.
• Facilitate technical discussions and participate in resolving issues.
• Manage and facilitate program meetings and working sessions.
• Provide leaders with regular project status updates, including issues, opportunities for improvement, and corrective actions.
• Identify potential problem areas against the plan and implement alternative solutions.
• Design clear and consistent messages for diverse audiences, ensuring relevance and effectiveness.
• Comply with and follow all procedures within the company's security policy.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• 5 - 10 years of work experience or equivalent with 4 years of managing Defense projects
• Excellent understanding of the DOD program management process and methodology
• Experience elaborating CDRL and preparing key milestones such as SSR, PDR, CDR, TRR, PRR
• Understanding of various MIL Specifications and requirements
• Understanding of basic PM principles, such as those promoted by PMI
• Experience with electronic product manufacturing or product development in a small business environment
• Motivated, positive, self-starter with strong work ethics
• Ability to make timely and effective decisions, handle multiple priorities, and delegate responsibilities
• Proficiency in personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and e-mail skills
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to work in a highly cross-functional environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
