Specific Qualifications or Experience Required:
  • At least ten (10) years of recent experience in either healthcare or information technology in a healthcare setting
  • Proven leadership ability, with communication and interpersonal skills conducive to interacting in a multidisciplinary environment and ability to relate easily to a variety of people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong skills in operations management and collaborative working relationships that promote cooperative goal achievement and contribute to an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect.
  • Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively with Senior Management team and Executives.
  • Previous experience with large-scale clinical IT projects for the health authorities of BC
  • Self-directed and highly motivated
  • Demonstrated ability to use spreadsheets, word-processing, PowerPoint, and other software at an expert level.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
Services Required:
  • The Director for the Digital Innovation - Providers program will focus on enhancing, integrating, and streamlining core services that providers rely on to deliver and coordinate care. The director is responsible for all the projects in this work stream which includes: the Provider & Service Information Management (PSIM), Report Distribution, HealthMap, Digital Referrals and orders application integration and other projects. Responsibilities include:
  • Ensure that the deliverables are completed on time and on budget, as identified in the roadmap and be responsible for all aspects of the program including co-chairing Steering committees and sub-working groups.
  • Inform the development and execution of strategic and operational plans, such as the development of a multidisciplinary team in partnership with OceanMD and Doctors of BC
  • Oversees human resource management of clinical specialists and provides consultation, guidance, and support to designated project staff, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Serves as the Digital Innovation Provider lead for engagement with the physician community and governing bodies such as the BC College of Physicians and Surgeons, Divisions of Family practice and other BC Health Organizations.
  • Identifies and tracks metrics as they relate to the project deliverables, including establishing a detailed project charter, plans and objectives to outline timelines and project deliverables.
  • Execute project plan according to project methodologies, ensure successful and coordinated completion of project components, consult with stakeholders as needed and ensure readiness for project implementation.
  • Monitor and report on the status of projects and major barriers encountered. Make recommendations to the Acting Executive Director regarding projects scope and related changes required to facilitate a successful outcome.
