BAE Systems is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Program Manager to join our team. The Deputy Program Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the Program Manager in overseeing and managing all aspects of program execution of a $150M strategic program located at various sites within the US supporting our Annapolis Junction customer.

This program has 145 IT professionals providing IT Infrastructure Sustainment Services. The Deputy will support the PM in providing leadership and guidance to execute a program which provides infrastructure server support to multiple data center sites, 3,000+ users, thousands of servers, multiple network enclaves, supercomputing testing/integration, network and storage support. This program contains critical IT skills that will require the DPM to provide technical guidance in working with cutting edge computing devices, network configurations, and software.

This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage relationships with stakeholders and customers effectively. The ideal candidate will be responsible for customer engagement, stakeholder management, and ensuring the successful completion and delivery of Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs). The DPM assists in contract program management oversight, contractor personnel management, subcontract management, security, facility support, cost control, resources to include management, and quality assurance for all activities performed under the contract. Provide the Government visibility into cost, schedule, and technical performance of the contract.

Required Skills and Education

Bachelor's Degree in related technical or business discipline, PMP certification, 10+ years' experience as a program or project manager in managing programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
  • Active Top Secret SCI level clearance with the appropriate poly required.
  • Assist the Program Manager in planning, executing, and closing projects.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact in the absence of the Program Manager.
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and ensure their satisfaction with program deliverables.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders, team members, and other relevant parties.
  • Assists with the timely completion and delivery of CDRLs.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Program Manager and stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Support the Program Manager in budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide input on strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Ensure cross-discipline integration within the contract meet the Government needs.
  • Prepare program status reviews and other formal reviews to be presented to the Government COR.
  • Ensure timely recruitment and training of program staff - both direct and indirect.
  • Review all financial and technical reports before release to the Government.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and administrative requirements imposed by the contract in coordination with Contractor's contracts staff.
