Program Operations Lead

At Point Solutions Group, we are dedicated to delivering innovative solutions for the aerospace, defense manufacturing and engineering sectors. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Program Operations Lead to join our Federal Services team working with a major defense prime contractor. This individual will be instrumental in driving the success of our program deliverables, overseeing program performance, and ensuring smooth integration of all program requirements. You will lead a team, collaborate cross-functionally, and be the driving force in delivering high-quality solutions within the required timelines.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead, collaborate, and influence quality and performance for program deliverables, overseeing factory integration, program performance, and unique program requirements flow-down.
• Coordinate with Operations to develop and execute work instructions, ensuring process repeatability and consistency.
• Work closely with Procurement to ensure that component lead times and delivery schedules align with production workflows to prevent interruptions.
• Prepare and present program status updates and articulate any production issues during periodic management reviews.
• Coordinate and develop operational requirements for all gate reviews, ensuring effective execution of proposed strategies for future production implementation.

Required Skills and Experience:

• A minimum active Secret U.S. Security Clearance (ability to obtain a TS/SCI highly preferred)
• A Bachelor's of Science degree in Program Management, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.8+ years of progressive technical experience with space and defense engineering initiatives.
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing environments, particularly with complex systems integration within factories, and understanding of federal regulatory requirements or military/defense manufacturing.
• Proven experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
• Basic understanding of requirements management, system design, and integration.
• Experience with preparing technical proposals and acquisition documents.
• Experience with creating project estimates, and managing program costs and schedules.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Typically 5 or more years of relevant leadership and/or project management experience.
• Experience leading a multi-disciplinary design and development team, with clear communication to program management and customers.
• Proven ability to lead baseline definition and maturation in complex development settings, including trade studies and alternative analyses.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, parts lists, specifications, instructions, and test procedures.
• Understanding of manufacturing from system integration through product delivery.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and their application to manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems in production environments, including materials and labor resources management.
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement frameworks
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to company leadership and customers
