Job Description
You will be the Senior Quality Engineer supporting the ATWS TacIRST Offsite Manufacturing locations (Santa Barbara/Archbald/Dallas). Our team is responsible for developing and implementing quality standards, methods, and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products to customers.
What You Will Be Doing:
As the Senior Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing and resolving complex process issues, reviewing quality data, and participating in corrective action meetings to drive continuous improvement. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of products and processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and making key decisions on product acceptability.
Your responsibilities will include:
-Reviewing documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes
-Analyzing quality data on yields, rework, scrap, and non-conformance aging
-Participating in Material Review Boards, Failure Investigation/Review, and Production/Yield Improvement Teams
-Performing assessments and audits to ensure compliance with specifications and procedures
-Evaluating design assurance activities and production process methodology
-Interfacing with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality-related issues
-Utilizing lean initiatives to reduce waste and drive continuous improvement

Basic Qualifications
-Bachelors level degree or higher in STEM and/or equivalent experience/combined education
-Must have current Secret security clearance or ability to obtain
-Ability to travel
-Manufacturing or Quality experience developing methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products
-Experience interpreting drawings and specifications to develop and apply quality test and inspection methods and able to translate into work instructions
-Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical / process issues varying from basic to very complex.
-Experience in disposition of non-conforming products
-Knowledge of Geometric Dimension and Tolerance
-Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management
-Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Desired skills
-STEM degree at bachelors' level or higher preferred
-Knowledge of CCA/ECA assemblies, Electro-Optical assemblies, and/or machining processes
Lean / Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt / Black Belt)
-Experience working with various manufacturing sites in a dynamic/virtual environment
-ASQ Certification: Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
-SAP Application experience
-Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements
-Strong understanding of AS9100 and ISO9001 Quality Management Systems
-Effective communication skills, i.e., written, oral, listening and technical writing
-Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration
-Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $78,500 - $150,400. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
