Duties * Serves as the Program Executive Officer (PEO) lead and subject matter expert in Department of Defense (DoD) program acquisition schedule development, analysis, and maintenance. * Provides guidance, recommendations and solves problems for programs across the PEO on all aspects of scheduling for all program life cycle phases. * Acts as the primary scheduling point of contact for the organization, interfaces with internal and external customers at all levels. * Performs and reviews Critical Path analysis; understands optional scenario drills and the impact of workaround plans to near term and long-range program objectives. * Assesses appropriateness of completion criteria developed to measure the maturity of a process, milestones, or technical program event. * Prepares reports and briefing charts for the organization's product manager, project manager, or PEO. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment. * This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter. * This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 5% of the time. Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify for this position based off your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience at the NH-02 level that includes: 1) Providing guidance and solving problems for programs across the PEO on all aspects of scheduling for all program life cycle phases.; 2) Improving the process for developing, maintaining, and analyzing program schedules across multiple product/program management offices.; 3) Analyzing multiple program Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), Integrated Master Plans (IMP) to validate completeness and fidelity.; and 4) Communicating the impact of the current schedule status, forecasts of delay or acceleration, and identifying concerns. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02 (or GS-11 equivalent). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Derogatory information developed during the background investigation, such as a criminal history, could render the selectee ineligible for both the security clearance and continued employment in the position, if already appointed be approved if eligible under specific conditions. * This is an Acquisition Demo Modified Term Appointment NTE 5 years.
