Program Overview

Provides Contractor Program Management support for a US Army program developing next-generation weapons technology. This position is responsible for managing new systems through advanced development, production and fielding; or fielded systems undergoing extensive modification, retrofit, or rebuild; or specified categories of critical problem issues associated with one or more fielded systems.

Experience

At least 10 years of experience supervising and leading teams of more than 15 employees OR at least 5 years of experience supervising and leading teams of more than 30 employees.

Responsibilities

Provides acquisition contractor program management by performing the following tasks:
  • Responsible for supervising, monitoring, and directing contractor employees ensuring contractor employees fulfill the tasks in the performance work statement.
  • Tracks employees time and attendance.
  • Ensures contractor employees training requirements are current and accurate.
  • Through coordination of the COR, ensures contractor employees work schedules and telework/remote work agreements are completed.
  • Hears and resolves grievances of contractor employees.
  • Hears and resolves COR grievances of contractor employees.
  • Maintains employee contact information.
  • Assists with the in-processing of new contractor employees and out-processing of departing employees.
  • Through coordination with COR, PM, PdM/PdD, and PM staff directors, responsible for planning work to be accomplished by contractor employees; setting priorities; planning schedules for completion of work; assigning work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty and requirements of assignments, and capabilities of employees.
  • Evaluates the performance of contractor employees.
  • Gives advice, counsel, or instruction to contractor employees on both work and administrative matters.
  • Interviews contractor candidates for positions and makes recommendations for appointment, promotion, or reassignment.
  • Initiates minor disciplinary measures such as issuing reprimands or warnings, and action in more serious cases of contractor employees.
  • Identifies developmental and training needs of contractor employees, and provides or makes provisions for this developmental and training need.
  • Demonstrates commitment to the EEO Program by assuring compliance with all program goals/objectives and Management Control Process responsibilities ensuring the work environment is free of discrimination, including sexual harassment.
  • With concurrence from the COR, reviews, coordinates, and approves estimated travel costs for contractor employees and final travel expenses.
  • Identifies ways to improve or increase the quality of the work directed.

Responsible for overseeing all contractual responsibilities and delivery of all contract deliverables.

    Qualifications
    • Must possess time management and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to communicate orally and in writing with a variety of people in structured and unstructured situations, exercise knowledge of effective group relationships and interpersonal skills, and do this through good oral and written communications skills.
    • Ability to supervise and lead others.
