Cyclyx Overview:
Only 10% of plastics are recycled today, and that must change. Cyclyx is a new kind of plastic feedstock management company that works with industry participants to increase plastic recyclability. Cyclyx operates as a membership consortium, uniting stakeholders around the circular value chains to work together and drive new results in plastic recycling. By working with partners to source, collect and pre-process large volumes of waste plastic based on exact technical specifications, Cyclyx redirects more plastic into recycling. This new partner-driven model aims to boost plastic circularity - and break the cycle that has kept recycling from reaching its full potential. The Cyclyx Circularity Center (CCC) facility is a first of its kind recycling facility which accepts clean and mixed sources of waste plastics and processes them into usable feedstock for the advanced and mechanical recycling market. This facility is significant in scale, with an annual capacity of >400 million lbs of inbound plastic.
Role Overview:
The Project Controls and Administration Manager will oversee the project management activities across the full lifecycle of engineering and construction projects. This individual will lead project controls functions, including cost, schedule, contract administration, and business requirements, ensuring successful execution from initiation through completion. The role requires strong leadership to support the project team, oversee multi-disciplinary coordination, and ensure projects meet budget, schedule, and quality expectations.

Role Overview:
The Project Controls and Administration Manager will oversee the project management activities across the full lifecycle of engineering and construction projects. This individual will lead project controls functions, including cost, schedule, contract administration, and business requirements, ensuring successful execution from initiation through completion. The role requires strong leadership to support the project team, oversee multi-disciplinary coordination, and ensure projects meet budget, schedule, and quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning, Controls & Scheduling
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, establishing clear milestones, resource allocation, and critical path management to ensure project timelines are met.
- Collaborate with the project team to develop comprehensive project budgets and ensure proper tracking and variance analysis to control project costs.
- Generate, approve, and review budgets and forecasts regularly.
- Establish, track, and analyze project progress to ensure effective performance and adherence to project timelines.
- Provide detailed reports on cost, schedule, and contract status to senior management and stakeholders.
- Manage and oversee the Scheduler function role to ensure reporting and forecasting requirements are routinely met. Identify and close integration gaps between contracts.
Budget and Cost Management
- Work closely with the finance team to develop and monitor project budgets, ensuring effective cost tracking and timely reporting of potential overruns.
- Conduct detailed cost variance analysis and implement corrective actions to minimize budget deviations.
- Ensure proper project forecasting, including monthly reports to stakeholders.
Risk Management & Change Control
- Identify, track, and provide guidance on risks through the Risk Register, offering optimal resolution strategies to minimize impact on cost, schedule, and scope.
- Develop a robust change management processes to control scope changes and ensure proper documentation of impacts on costs and schedule.
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction, ensuring alignment with project goals and timely execution.
- Delegate tasks to staff and team members based on expertise and project needs, ensuring high performance and clear expectations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project control teams, including contract administration, cost management, scheduling, and accounting functions.
- Support team members' professional development and foster a collaborative environment that promotes continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Communication and Reporting
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and business partners.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, ensuring up-to-date information is accessible to stakeholders.
Project Closeout and Commissioning
- Support the commissioning and handover aspects of the project per the project plan, including compiling as-built documentation, operating manuals, and warranties for client or operations team handoff.
- Document lessons learned through post-project reviews and apply insights to future initiatives.
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure all project activities adhere to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations and protocols.
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure safety compliance during engineering, procurement, and construction phases.
Administration & Contract Management
- Manage contract administration processes and ensure compliance with contractual terms, timelines, and obligations.
- Oversee the generation and review of contracts, ensuring alignment with project goals and business objectives.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7-12 years in project management or project controls, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role within project controls, engineering, procurement, or construction.
- Certifications: Project management certification preferred. (PMP, CCP, CST, PCP, EVP or equivalent).
- Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced proficiency with project management software (Primavera, MS Project) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments with a focus on quality, safety, and budget adherence.
- Preferred experience with EHS systems and risk management strategies.
