Position Title: Project Controls Analyst - Capital & O&M Projects
Location: On-site with up to 50% remote flexibility after 3-6 months (based on training, performance, and team needs)
Schedule: 4x10s, Monday-Thursday
Per Diem: Negotiable for the right candidate (preference for local)
Remote Work: Up to 50% after initial 3-6 month training period
Position Summary:
This role supports both Capital and O&M projects by providing independent oversight as part of the Corporate Finance organization. The analyst plays a vital role in project monitoring, cost control, and schedule management. Responsibilities include risk identification, cost analysis, and consistent communication with Project Managers and Plant Management. The ideal candidate is experienced in project controls and capable of supporting complex, high-visibility projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Analytical:
- Assist in project scope development and collaborate with project teams
- Prepare Level 1-4 implementation schedules using Primavera P6
- Integrate cost estimates and schedules into resource-loaded cost flow projections
- Analyze schedule deviations and assess impacts on cost and timelines
Evaluation:
- Evaluate real-time cost data to determine project financial status
- Recommend corrective actions to mitigate cost/schedule overruns
- Develop accurate Estimate to Completion (ETC) forecasts with Project Managers
- Create financial health reports and communicate scope/funding changes proactively
Administrative:
- Track and record actual/projected budget impacts and communicate with Corporate Finance
- Implement approved changes into baseline schedules
- Ensure schedule data reflects the correct scope of work
- Update P6 status monthly and process financial system journal entries for accruals or adjustments
Systems Management:
- Enter and manage data in internal databases and systems
- Maintain configuration control during project approval and execution
- Perform consistency reviews and provide resolutions
- Capture Lessons Learned for continuous process improvement
Other:
- Attend challenge, approval, and safety meetings
- Schedule regular touchpoints with Project Managers
- Follow all internal processes and procedures
- Provide process improvement suggestions to Project Controls leadership
- Promote a customer-service mindset while aligning with core values
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant experience in project controls/project management (industrial environment); OR
- Associate degree and 6 years of relevant experience; OR
- High School diploma/GED and 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Formal training on Primavera P6 or another project management system is required
Desired Education & Certifications:
- Earned Value Management Certification via PMI (PMP, PBA, SP, CAPM, or RMP)
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Expertise in Earned Value Management methodology
- Strong project controls background and detail variance analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, and PowerPoint
- Skilled in Primavera P6 and professional project management principles
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and data-checking abilities
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and set/manage goals
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience supporting large-scale projects ($25M+ budget)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI, Asset Suite, Workday Adaptive Planning, and Workday
- Utility industry experience and general understanding of nuclear plant operations (BWR preferred)
- Exposure to process improvement initiatives
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
