Project Controls Manager - Los Angeles, CA (Full-Time, On-Site)
We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and motivated Project Controls Manager to join our dynamic team in a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles, CA. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing all project controls activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet all required specifications.

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state's law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Project Controls Manager - Los Angeles, CA (Full-Time, On-Site)
We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and motivated Project Controls Manager to join our dynamic team in a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles, CA. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing all project controls activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet all required specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee project activities to support key milestones and develop micro-phasing schedules for complex work phases. Coordinate various parties to ensure timely completion.
- Engage with designers, contractors, and third-party entities to identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Review contractor pay applications, ensuring alignment with schedule updates and other progress documents.
- Coordinate cost recording, monitoring, and reporting to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor schedule resource loading and leveling.
- Provide progress reports and briefing materials. Create innovative reporting tools to communicate complex project sequencing and progress.
- Promptly report any budget or schedule variances.
- Ensure an understanding of time frames related to specialized systems, such as BHS, Power, HVAC, and other aviation-related disciplines.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- 15+ years of project controls experience, preferably in a public-sector airport environment.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, business, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience managing large-scale, complex construction projects, particularly in aviation-related projects.
- Experience with Design-Build and Construction Management at Risk (CMAR) delivery methods is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and communicate complex, technical construction programs to both technical and management teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and industry-specific software (e.g., Expedition, Adobe Acrobat, Primavera, Prolog).
Additional Requirements:
- Strong self-starter attitude with a proactive, results-oriented focus.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to interface with individuals at various technical and educational levels.
- Ability to take on additional responsibilities and work beyond regular shifts when needed.
Work Schedule:
- Hybrid/Telework: Telework on Monday and Friday; On-site work Tuesday through Thursday.
Other Details:
- Flexibility may be required, including the possibility of working extended hours or various shifts, as needed.
- This position offers a hybrid work schedule (Telework: Monday & Friday, On-Site: Tuesday-Thursday).
