Project Delivery Leader, Healthy Communities

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Healthy Communities Project Delivery Leader to drive and manage the delivery of infrastructure across the east coast. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of urban planning, engineering, and community engagement, with the ability to oversee the successful execution of diverse projects aimed at improving the overall health and well-being of residents and visitors. You will work closely with local government officials, stakeholders, and community groups to ensure that projects align with the needs and values of the community.

Essential Functions

• Oversee and manage a portfolio of Healthy Communities projects from inception to completion.
• Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
• Work directly with a diverse array of stakeholders to understand infrastructure needs and ensure projects reflect these needs.
• Collaborate with city engineers, planners, and sustainability officers to develop feasibility, concept, and design programs and initiatives (e.g., green spaces, active transportation infrastructure, etc.).
• Facilitate public meetings, workshops, and forums to foster community involvement in the decision-making process and ensure transparent communication of project progress.
• Prepare reports as needed for stakeholders and regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines.
• Facilitate internal and client meetings, presentations, and approval of plans.
• Direct project staff and sub-consultants.
• Participate in Business Development and Marketing to secure future clients and workload across the company's current and future geographic service areas.
• Mentor junior engineering and planning staff on healthy community projects and/or design tasks.

Required Skills and Experience

• BS in Civil Engineering, Planning or related field
• Fifteen (15) + years of experience in civil engineering design with a focus in active transportation
• Professional Engineering Registration (PE) or ability to obtain within six (6) months
• Expertise in Microstation / Geopak / InRoads/ Open Roads and/or AutoCAD / Civil 3D and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with federal, state, and local government projects
