Interior Architecture & Design - Full Time

JLL Design has an exciting opportunity for an interior designer / interior architect to join our agency leasing team. This individual will contribute to the success of our business through detail-oriented, process-mindful and best-in-class support to our agency leasing team.

The agency leasing team consists of 8 brokers and 2 graphic designers and operates in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and creativity thrive. The successful candidate must be prepared to work diligently, efficiently and be both solution-based and creative. Candidate must be able to conceptualize and design aesthetically pleasing interior spaces by collaborating with brokers and clients, create functional layouts, ensure compliance with building codes, be proficient in 3D modeling and confidently present design concepts both internally and externally. We are looking for someone who is eager to come to the table with creative and new ideas that push the limits on design and differentiate buildings in the market. The ideal candidate is outgoing, assertive, confident and also takes constructive feedback to ensure the final product is one the entire team is proud of. Candidate will work closely with team brokers, tenant brokers, building owners, and internal business lines of project management and design / architecture.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 5+ years' experience working on commercial Interior Design projects, ground-up architecture is a plus.
• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field. Licensure or certification preferred.
• Fluent in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Solid knowledge in creating 3D visualization / renderings, and the ability to generate these independently OR through providing concise direction to internal team members.
• Solid knowledge of building codes and accessibility guidelines.
• Proficiency in application of architectural design standards, practices, techniques, concepts and emerging trends.
• Excellent client communication, listening and critical-thinking skills.
• Entrepreneurial attitude - must be self-motivated and self-managed and have the ability to multi-task and organize several projects / efforts at a given time.
• Solid time management and organizational skills - able to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
• Understanding of building amenities as they relate to tenant attraction.
• Strong presentation skills with ability to think on your feet.
• Exceptional standards for quality and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to excel under pressure to meet deadlines and prioritize assignments.
• Team player, culture-builder.
• Seeks out and responds well to feedback and direction from others.
• Ability to work both independently and within the fabric of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Generation of client program requirements and initial test fits.
• Generation of basic BOMA calculations.
• Generation and validation of basic code analysis involving egress, plumbing counts, travel distances and occupancy types.
• Generation of design concepts via 3D visualization (renderings).
• Work with team to assemble pitch decks and strategize on winning approach for customized client pursuits.
• Regular preparation, strategization toward and participation within client pitches / pursuits.
• Capital Expenditures project ideation and creation.
• Generation of pricing notes for developed design concepts / solutions.
• Reviewing and providing feedback for architectural drawings and renderings for spec suites, cap ex projects etc.
• Furniture and art procurement utilizing vendor coordination.

Estimated total compensation for this position:

85,000.00 - 90,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
