Job Overview:
Manages and supports engineer projects from start to finish. Develops project objectives and reviews project proposals. Monitors project budget and timeline
Responsibilities:
- Designs, communicates, and implements a project plan
- Monitors project progress and performance against project plan
- Analyzes drawings and communicates discrepancies to vendors for corrections
- Prepares engineering designs and work specifications
- Conduct project meetings and prepare status reports. Collects, analyzes, and summarizes information and trends
- Resolves difficult operational problems and minimizes delays
- Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors
- May provide guidance to less experienced project engineers
- Participates in regularly scheduled team meetings
- Will perform other duties as assigned
- May train others in Lean Production Systems.
- Solve complex national and international problems using root cause analysis
- Supports manufacturing engineering assignments as needed
- Will receive input from project teams and working groups. Reporting to the project teams and project committees.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related area.
- 3 years of relevant experience.
- Technical understanding
- High skill and knowledge of lean production systems.
- Independent working.
- Good coordination skills
- Good communication skills
- Good presentation skills
- Very confidant with computer programs (e.g. windows, office)
