Project Engineer (Civil/Transportation)

TERRA is seeking experienced civil engineers to join our dynamic Transportation Team. Candidates must have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the field of civil engineering and be willing to work on-site alongside the Village Engineer.

You Will:

• Interface with various disciplines to ensure design process is coordinated, complete and comprehensive
• Develop design concepts, studies, design options, and establishes design criteria
• Perform analysis and design calculations, documents design procedures, and assures design is in compliance with codes and standards
• Prepare the design documents including schematics, design details, calculations, specifications, and utility coordination
• Prepare the project deliverables including plans, specifications, reports, cost estimates and commissioning documents
• Maintain the project records for information and data necessary for documentation of the design process
• Monitor projects to assure schedule, budget and design are consistent with project criteria and scope of work
• Recognize scope creep and brings to the attention of the Project Manager
• Prepare and coordinates the design of assigned engineers.
• Coordinate and completes all permits requirements
• Perform field investigations and construction inspection duties as assigned
• Perform other duties as required by Project Managers/Department Manager

You Have:

• B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering.
• E.I.T. or P.E. licensure preferred.
• 5-10 years of civil engineering in transportation and related disciplines.
• Experience working with Village Engineers a plus.
• Computer skills and knowledge in AutoCAD/Civil3D, Bentley ORD and other related Windows based and engineering software.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to write reports, cost estimates, scheduling and quantity take off.
