GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:
The Engineer II, Project is responsible for directing, coordinating, and executing engineering projects while ensuring all customer requirements are met or exceeded with a quality product delivered in a timely manner. Ensure proper engineering resources are assigned and Loram processes followed to effectively support delivery of machines or other products to meet and exceed customer requirements by means of effective and accurate project planning and leadership.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: BS in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 5+ years experience of equipment design engineering.
3+ years experience of project management; multi-discipline engineering project leadership, large scale machine design & integration.
Licenses/Certifications: Obtain and maintain railroad safety training and credentials
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Licenses/Certifications: Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, PE, PMI PMP or equivalent

- Translate requirements into a system architecture and detailed design. Provide input to machine concept development and prepare time and scope estimates for design of new projects.
- Determine feasibility of modifying existing or designing new equipment considering costs, time limitations, and other technical and economic factors.
Operational Excellence
- Schedule engineering projects with resource requirement loading.
- Assist with formulating engineering project specifications based on customer requirements.
- Lead multi-discipline engineering teams to deliver designs and documentation for our internal and external customers with key metrics for schedule, quality, and budget.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
