Description
- Perform engineering duties in planning, designing and permitting coordination and erosion control and grading design of utility projects.
- Develop permit documentation, coordinate with various agencies and produce construction drawings and specifications, including hydrological analysis with water flow rates.
- Use knowledge of HydroCAD, modeling of stormwater runoff and design of stormwater management systems for substations, transmission lines, and solar farms.
- Plan and design hydraulic systems for the location of the project.
- Analyze maps, drawings, aerial photography and topographical data.
- Estimate cost of materials, equipment and labor to provide to the county agencies during the permitting process.
- Ensure that work meets all environmental regulations, as well as safety and quality standards, ordinances and codes.
- Recognize and resolve issues and provide timely and accurate information regarding project schedules, scopes and budgets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Five (5) years or more of experience in any professional position requiring extensive MIS and EHS related experience
- Must be a Licensed Professional Engineer
- Must have 5 years of experience with Office 365 Data Analysis, SQL Studio, MS Excel Power Query and MS VBA; 3 years of experience with MIS and EHS software, such as Enablon, Cority, Intelex, Sphera Solutions, EtQ, etc.; 2 years of experience with SQL and MS Excel 365; 3 years of experience with AutoCAD experience and HydroCAD/SedCAD or equivalent; 2 year of experience interacting with technical and non-technical persons in a client-consultant setting; and 6 months of experience collecting and analyzing environmental (e.g., air/water quality, hydrology, erosion, sediment) data.
- Must also have some experience programming with Python and Javascript; conducting independent research experiments; working in R&D teams troubleshooting products and optimizing existing data; and optimizing wastewater filtration processes under a dedicated budget.
- Must be able to travel up to 10-15% within NC and/or Southeast US region (VA, SC, NC).
