Description:
This position will manage and execute maintenance and CAPEX projects across the plant to ensure successful and safe performance for engineering design and installation projects for the plant. The incumbent will coordinate contracted employees from multiple companies to work as a unified group towards achieving the plants goals relative to project implementation, budgets, and schedules. They will oversee all aspects of projects including development and management of scope, requirement, work breakdown structures, estimating, resources, schedules, budgets, performance reporting and communications to promote timely, cost controlled and sustainable deliverables and results.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited university; 3-5 years' experience in a plant engineering or consulting engineering environment, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the role of project manager or engineering manager.
The incumbent must have the ability to build and sustain good working relationships and work effectively in a team environment; be achievement motivated and have a high energy level; effective planning and organizational skills; and effective communication skills (verbal, written, and listening).

Responsibilities
- Development of project execution plans that will provide the equipment, engineering and installations required to meet the internal client's needs within the established project budget.
- Provide technical and functional expertise, analysis, and leadership experience to achieve project success.
- Review engineering documents and contracts prepared by equipment vendors, and consulting engineers for compliance with Century Aluminum requirements
- Critical decision making on projects utilizing fact based analysis and illustrating various alternatives and options in order to ensure project execution
