Role Overview:

Participates in engineering activities that further success of overall project objectives. Organizes data, and prepares, maintains and develops recommendations for plans and progress reports to monitor project progress. Escalates problems as needed and works to complete project tasks.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for creation of detailed technical schedule, take ownership of the execution of these schedules.
• Prepare presentations and present program status, milestones, risks, mitigation plans, etc. at regularly scheduled program reviews.
• Technical interface with customers, suppliers, partners and regulators
• Identify and mitigate project risks (technical, schedule, cost, quality, etc.) to prevents risks from becoming issues.
• Ensure that program requirements (customer, AS9100, certification, industry standards, and business requirements) are met.
• Collaborate with PE Manager, Functional leaders, Product Chiefs to create a detail technical proposal, ensuring customer sign off before project work starts.
• Follow CMS process to execute projects. Prepare for and participate in the CMS gate reviews, act as technical gate owner.
• Function as the glue that holds the technical aspects of the programs together.
• Collaborates with VSL to manage project portfolio within budget
• Prepare and report monthly financial and schedule actuals, variance analysis and forecasts.
• Collaborate with functional leaders to manage project resources.

Basic Qualifications:

• This position requires a Bachelors degree in the appropriate discipline and 8 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
