General Description
Located at the Vitalis' Manufacturing facility in Kelowna, BC and under the direction of the Engineering Manager, this role is for a Project Engineer. They will work closely with all departments to ensure stakeholders are informed and the project is progressing to schedule.
Technical scope will encompass all areas of Vitalis' engineering and design including mechanical, structural, pressure vessel, and process system design.

General Description
Located at the Vitalis' Manufacturing facility in Kelowna, BC and under the direction of the Engineering Manager, this role is for a Project Engineer. They will work closely with all departments to ensure stakeholders are informed and the project is progressing to schedule.
Technical scope will encompass all areas of Vitalis' engineering and design including mechanical, structural, pressure vessel, and process system design.
Responsibilities
- Understanding and implementing project scope and client specifications
- Communicate directly with customers, engineering firms, and other external stakeholders throughout projects
- Create and maintain the project schedule for the technical teams
- Develop the preliminary Bill of Materials for the project
- Work closely with the design team to complete all fabrication and assembly drawings
- Signoff on drawings to ensure their accuracy and completeness
- As required assist in the design which may include but not limited to CAD modeling, sizing of components, working with vendors, subcontractors, and purchasing.
- Work "hands-on" with manufacturing to resolve any problems encountered in the fabrication and construction of experimental or production machines
- Support customers with onsite implementation requirements
- Issue change orders and revise schedules as required
Qualifications
Must Haves
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a diploma in Engineering Technology
- 5+ years experience in an Engineering product design role
- Working knowledge of MS Office programs
- Must have Canadian citizenship or work visa for Canada
Nice to Haves
- PMP certificate an asset
- Previous working experience with 3D CAD modeling, preferably SolidWorks
- Knowledge of domestic and international electrical and mechanical standards/regulations
- Experience in refrigeration rack design an asset (R744 preferably)
- Previous experience in a project/product management role
