Audubon is currently seeking a Project Engineer to join our team. The Project Engineer - I&E Fabrication will oversee the design, fabrication, and integration of industrial control systems, including automation panels, PDC (Power Distribution Center), and RIE (Remote Instrument Enclosure) buildings. The role includes ensuring project quality, profitability, and timely delivery, along with leadership in managing electrical and instrumentation systems. Candidates must be adept in coordinating across teams, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring alignment with client requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the design, fabrication, and integration of PDC and RIE buildings as a primary responsibility.
- Support the E&I fabrication manager in managing projects from design through completion.
- Oversee the development of design packages and approval drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Update and maintain detailed project reports, schedules, action items, and resource allocations to ensure on-time and within-budget project execution.
- Support resource allocation, including manpower assignment, equipment planning, and forecasting for project needs.
- Conduct and lead weekly project meetings, providing status updates and addressing challenges.
- Maintain consistent QA/QC processes in alignment with client specifications.
- Support procurement and inventory management of materials and components within business systems.
- Ensure timely delivery and proper crating of panels and components per project schedules.
- Implement tools and techniques to enhance efficiency and quality of programming and fabrication processes.
- Provide project management support during site installation and commissioning activities.
- Demonstrate knowledge in:
- Industrial electrical control panel and building design, production, and fabrication.
- Installation of various electronic and electro-mechanical components.
- Reading and interpreting panel schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of material.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering preferred
- 3+ years' PDC and RIE building projects
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Understanding of electrical distribution systems, including transformers, switchgear, electrical relays, motor control centers, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), and UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems.
- Experience with automation systems, analyzers, and instrumentation design is highly desirable.
- Experience with proposal development.
- Knowledge of multiple industry standards (UL, ISA, NFPA, NEC).
- Reading and interpreting technical documentation (P&IDs, schematics, loop sheets, manuals, etc.).
- Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD or equivalent.
