Position Summary:

Are you looking to launch your career in the construction industry with a company that will invest in your growth from day one? As a Project Engineer at Elevated Construction, you'll gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced Project Managers and Superintendents on some of the Bay Area's most exciting commercial concrete and carpentry projects.

This is an ideal opportunity for early-career professionals or recent graduates who are eager to learn the ins and outs of construction project delivery. You'll be actively involved in coordinating subcontractors, tracking project budgets and schedules, managing documentation, and helping drive quality and safety from preconstruction through closeout.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform outreach to trade partners to promote project opportunities and generate interest.
  • Support subcontractor buyout and selection processes.
  • Assist with project management tasks such as drafting subcontracts, preparing cost forecasts, leading job walks, and coordinating quality control.
  • Participate in procurement activities and track material deliveries.
  • Attend Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings and prepare clear, timely meeting minutes.
  • Estimate change orders and support pricing for Potential Change Orders (PCCs) and Extra Work Authorizations (EWAs).
  • Lead document control: manage distribution of drawings, specifications, permits, and revision logs.
  • Prepare and track Requests for Information (RFIs) and submittals; maintain accurate logs and follow-through.
  • Support field operations by monitoring installation progress and assisting with quality control.
  • Assist with schedule updates in coordination with the Superintendent.
  • Manage the project punch-list and close-out process, including warranty documentation and as-builts.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal partners.
  • Promote and uphold Elevated Construction's commitment to safety, professionalism, and ethical standards.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Internship or prior experience in the construction industry is preferred, especially within healthcare, education, or commercial sectors.
  • Foundational knowledge of construction materials, methods, and project delivery.
  • Ability to learn and master software tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam, and Egnyte.
  • Familiarity with building permit processes and document control workflows is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and task management abilities.
  • OSHA 10 Certification (or willingness to obtain).

Compensation & Pay Transparency (California):

In accordance with California pay transparency laws, the base salary range for this position is $96,200 - $106,700 annually, depending on experience, education, and qualifications.

This role is also eligible for performance-based incentives and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and learning & development support.
