Job Description

The Project Engineer collaborates closely with the Project Manager to lead the engineering work process for the delivery of Industrial Solution projects. This role involves supporting project development efforts during the sales phase and ensuring a seamless technical transition to project delivery. The Project Engineer is responsible for documenting and communicating all project requirements to stakeholders through the creation of design basis documents, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), equipment specifications, and critical client and regulatory requirements. The Project Engineer ensures adherence to the Engineering Workflow for stage gates and reviews. Accurate forecasting of work hours and managing schedule adherence are crucial for project success.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage changes to project definition documents, including design basis, PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment specifications.
  • Lead the coordination of engineering efforts on the project, facilitating communication between process, mechanical, and automation engineering teams, as well as external coordination with vendors and engineering firms.
  • Manage workflow to comply with organizational design processes, review gates, and procedures.
  • Ensure designs comply with industrial codes and regulations.
  • Forecast engineering labor for assigned projects and manage work to achieve schedule adherence.
  • Implement a structured approach to issue tracking and resolution.
  • Contribute to the resolution of complex engineering issues.
  • Support hazard assessments and hazard mitigation efforts.
  • Oversee Work Package Management, including in-house and outsourced scope of work generation and work product review.
  • Drive continuous improvement (CI) initiatives for engineering processes.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience designing and managing industrial projects.
  • Experience commissioning capex projects from cradle to grave.
  • Experience in manufacturing methods & design within sheet metal, machining.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • CFD & FEA
  • Root Cause & process development
  • PE or PMP Certification
Work Environment

Open office environment with collaborative workspaces. The role involves working with various technologies, including SolidWorks, HVAC systems, CFD, FEA, and Revit. The Project Engineer will interface with customers, manage project timelines, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $57.69/hr.
