Position Overview

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Project Engineering Manager's primary responsibility is to oversee the design, development, and proposal creation of engineered solutions. The Project Engineering team supports both our Sales Engineers as well as Project Managers to ensure customer needs are met efficiently and effectively. This position requires a mix of industry expertise, proficient leadership capabilities, and a forward-thinking mindset.

Key Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
  • Lead a team of engineers and technical professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Manage and track proposal timelines and deliverables.
  • Responsible for supporting engineering requests post sale including but not limited to: Install/approval drawings & application engineering during project life cycle.
  • Ensure all engineered solutions meet quality standards and industry best practices.
  • Subject matter expert in material handling solutions to include conveyor, storage rack systems, mezzanines, controls, goods- to- person systems, automated storage and retrieval systems, software interface, and robotics.
  • Responsible for ensuring financial accuracy and correctness on project proposals.
  • Work with customers to understand their specific needs and translate them into an engineered solution.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and new technologies to enhance solution offerings.
  • Suggest innovations and improvements to existing products or services.
  • Oversee engineering team to create custom solutions that align with the customer requirements and RSCI's capabilities.
  • Exhibit a customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering results.


Qualifications
  • BA/ BS in engineering, business, industrial design, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum (5) years of material handling systems experience with dealership, integrator, equipment manufacturer or in warehouse/ distribution environment (operations, engineering, project management) required. (3) Years leadership preferred.
  • Strong background in material handling system design, automation, and equipment selection.
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and projects.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, project management methodologies, and customer relations.
  • Must thrive in a team environment.
  • Minimum (5) years' experience in AutoCad, Configura, design tools and other engineering technologies.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Must reside in the greater Cincinnati region.
  • Travel up to 10% -20% regionally.

Qualifications

  • Residence in Greater Cincinnati or Columbus, OH areas
  • High school diploma, general education degree (GED), and/or technical school
  • Minimum of one to three years' related experience in the lift truck industry preferred
  • General mechanical aptitude
  • Strong customer service focus and communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Must maintain a clean driving record, as the position involves travel
  • Must work well independently and in team environment
  • Must be a driven and self-motivated individual
