Neel-Schaffer seeks responses from qualified applicants for the position ofProject Engineer/Managerto work in our Hattiesburg (MS) location. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in designing a wide variety of civil related projects. These projects primarily include transportation systems (aviation, roadway, parking lots, pedestrian pathways, etc.) and drainage/utility systems for local and state governmental entities. Project Management and construction experience is advantageous but not a requirement for this position.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • 6-15 years of design experience on general civil projects, including schematic development, preparation of plans, specifications and cost estimates
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Microstation
  • Experience leading and managing design staff is advantageous
  • Strong verbal communication and analytical skills
  • Familiar with MDOT Standards, AASHTO Roadside Design Guide, MUTCD, ADA, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Valid drivers license
