Overview:

Pembina Pipeline Corporation's Sherwood Park office is recruiting for a Project Execution Coordinator to join the team. this position reports to the Supervisor, Field Integrity in the Pipeline Integrity Team, part of Pembina's Technical Services Unit (TSU) Department.

On behalf of Pembina's Business Units (BUs), the Technical Services Unit manages a comprehensive integrity management program, which includes asset management, product quality & measurement, geographical information system), integrity project execution, and automation services. TSU provides leading technical expertise that optimizes performance and minimizes operational and project risk.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Support Pembina's safety culture of "Zero by Choice" and the "Life Saving Rules". To read more about our Life Saving Rules, visit pembina.com/safety;
  • Participation in the Safety Program including incident investigation, reporting and data entry into the "SMART Safety Data Program";
  • Coordination of TSU projects including planning and scheduling multiple 3rd party vendors and Construction Managers. Contractor liaison and coordination for project planning, budgeting and execution;
  • Ensuring all project control documentation is populated, collected and communicated to the Field Integrity Supervisor, Project Manager and Project Team, along with warehousing and maintenance of key project documentation;
  • Ensuring all contractors have access to, understand and are adhering to Pembina Standards and Specifications along with presentation of standards and specifications when required;
  • Support Field Integrity Supervisor with accurate project estimating and scheduling, project cost tracking, purchase order requisitioning, monthly project accruals and forecasting;
  • Collaborate with the following internal Pembina teams for project execution support: Operations, Project Management, Safety, Indigenous Relations, Environment. Land, Quality, Project Controls, Scheduling, Commercial, Logistics and Sherwood Park Control Center;
  • Conduct field visits to active project locations and conduct documentation in preparation and presentation for these meetings;
  • Visits include Pre-Construction Setup meetings, NDE meetings and Project Safety/Kick Off meetings; and
  • Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.


Qualifications:

  • 10 progressive years in the energy industry along with construction/field related experience;
  • 5 progressive years' experience directly managing excavation operations in and around pressurized pipelines;
  • Experience managing projects and coordinating multiple 3rd party vendors at the same time;
  • Detailed understanding of pipeline construction execution and applicable codes and standards;
  • Working knowledge of Environmental, Regulatory and First Nations consultation and permitting processes;
  • Working knowledge and procedures with PMO, project controls, AFE and procurement policies;
  • Detailed understanding of Ground Disturbance jurisdictional policies and other applicable standards;
  • Understanding and working knowledge of Defect Assessment and Repair Standards;
  • Detailed understanding of reading and interpreting inline inspection data;
  • Excellent communication and written competencies;
  • Team collaborator with abilities to build strong working relationships with various stakeholders across organizational boundaries from executives and operational leaders to Operators and Trades;
  • Willing to work alternate work schedule and willingness to travel to other regions depending on workload;
  • Valid Drivers License;
  • Proficiency with basic computer skills including e-mail, Word, Excel, ShareFile, SharePoint and Microsoft Projects;
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize a high volume of competing tasks in a fast-paced environment while managing stakeholder and sponsor expectations.
  • API 653 Tank Inspection and Repair certification;
  • NACE CIP Level 1 or 2 certification;
  • CWI (Certified Weld Inspector) certification; and
  • This position is considered "Safety Sensitive" and so will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing which includes testing for marijuana metabolites. You may also be required to provide a Driver's Abstract.


The successful candidate must live within 100 km of Sherwood Park; and adhere to Pembina's Flexible Work Standard provides the option for eligible employees to work remotely on Fridays.

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
