The major duties and responsibilities of the Project Financial Controls Coordinator shall be as follow:
Work with Project Manager(s) to prepare expenditure forecasts, including a statement of expenditure range that is based on known project risks.
Forecasts will include tracking of purchase orders, purchase requisitions, and planned work.
Prepare required documentation for monthly project controls meetings for assigned projects.
Track project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and issues and facilitate communication of updates from project team to management and funding departments.
Facilitate project budget set-up and budget transfers.
Support accounting reclasses to ensure charges to assigned projects are correct and in alignment with the project plan.
Facilitate monthly project cost accruals and reconcile invoices.
Provide support for cost certifications by project and program managers.
Provide other miscellaneous financial program support, as required, for assigned portfolio.
Prepare invoices and supplementary reports for cost-reimbursable projects.

Position Requirements

Background and Experience Required
Minimum of bachelor's degree and minimum of five (5) years of project financial and portfolio management experience or, in lieu of degree, eight (8) years of project financial and portfolio management experience.
Must be highly proficient in Microsoft 365 Suite of applications and have experience developing reports from financial and project systems. Prefer proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and dashboards.

Preferred Qualifications
PMP designation.
