Location: Hybrid (primarily based from home with some time spent at the Berkeley-based office, or at job sites around the Bay Area as needed)
Salary: $70,000-$95,000 depending on experience

Solar Commercial Project Manager

Position Overview
The Solar Commercial Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and closing of solar construction projects for commercial clients. This role is critical in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all phases of commercial solar construction projects from initiation to completion.
  • Develop project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, universal building codes, and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular project meetings to review status, challenges, and solutions.
  • Prepare and manage change orders and contract negotiations as necessary.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, adjusting plans as needed to achieve project goals.
  • Provide detailed project reports to stakeholders and senior management.

Qualifications
  • Proven track record of managing or building commercial solar projects successfully.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management within the solar construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC and universal building codes.
  • Familiarity with contracts, scheduling, and change order processes.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar is a plus.
