The Project Manager will manage mixed-use and multi-residential construction projects, and land development construction projects throughout Canada. Candidates must be an independent self-starter with exceptional communication and reporting skills, have a solid understanding of project management, building construction, construction schedules and construction budgets.

What you will do:
Project manage new multi-residential construction projects as Killam's representative;
Assist in procuring design and construction teams including the preparation of Requests for Proposals and reviewing and scoring submitted Proposals;
Help coordinate pre-construction planning and permitting;
Help coordinate third-party design and construction management teams;
Chair and minute internal and external project meetings;
Review design drawings and specifications for constructability, accuracy and completeness;
Assist in developing and monitoring project Schedules and Budgets;
Prepare regular progress reports focused on Issues, Resolutions, Risks, Budget and Schedule;
Attend construction meetings and site visits to review issues, seek input and provide direction;
Review construction quality and identify deficiencies;
Review third party and construction manager reports;
Monitor contracts and negotiate requested change orders;
Review and approve progress claims and invoices;
Check that contractors have proper insurance coverage and safety programs in place;
Coordinate with Utilities and Authorities having jurisdiction.
Who You Are:
Must have a bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture;
A PMP certification is an asset;
Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role;
Proven project management skills and experience including developing and monitoring budgets and schedules;
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
Experience in the construction industry, specifically in new multi-residential construction;
Knowledge of construction contracts and building code is an asset;
Able to understand and interpret engineering and architectural plans;
Good management and leadership skills;
Ability to take charge of issues and find solutions;
Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Some travel is required.
