The Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of multiple transmission and distribution projects, with a strong focus on Inside Plant (IP) and Outside Plant (OP) scopes across both Division and MCW portfolios. This role encompasses end-to-end project management-from planning and execution to reporting and closeout-and requires effective coordination with engineering, construction supervision, stakeholders, and leadership.

Qualifications:
The Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of multiple transmission and distribution projects, with a strong focus on Inside Plant (IP) and Outside Plant (OP) scopes across both Division and MCW portfolios. This role encompasses end-to-end project management-from planning and execution to reporting and closeout-and requires effective coordination with engineering, construction supervision, stakeholders, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:Project Leadership & Execution
- Oversee full project lifecycle: initiation, estimating, planning, execution, commissioning, and closeout.
- Ensure all projects meet contractual obligations and are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Direct project performance, quality, scheduling, and resource management.
- Collaborate closely with field and construction management to ensure smooth operations and workforce planning.
Site Coordination
- Lead site coordination for:
- Inside Plant (Division) distribution scopes.
- Outside Plant (MCW) distribution and transmission scopes (civil duct bank installations for 4kV, 13kV, 26kV, and 69kV).
- Serve as liaison between IP and OP construction supervision to facilitate real-time updates, accurate reporting, and alignment of scheduling and resource allocation.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Act as the primary interface between project teams, portfolio leadership, Division, and MCW.
- Facilitate biweekly (or as needed) coordination meetings at Secaucus HQ; compile agendas, updates, minutes, action items, and distribute to stakeholders.
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and internal departments.
Project Tracking & Reporting
- Track and report progress of engineering work packages, estimates, and project risks across Palisades and MCW.
- Forecast and communicate URB visit dates to ensure project team readiness.
- Generate detailed biweekly reports covering:
- Construction status of IP and OP scopes (Division and MCW)
- Estimate progress (Division and MCW)
- Engineering status updates
- Overall project cost and schedule snapshots (including cost actuals vs. EAC and milestone tracking)
Contract, Financial & Risk Management
- Manage project budgets, invoicing, and financial performance; report results to executive leadership.
- Support negotiation of contracts, change orders, and commercial terms with vendors and subcontractors.
- Identify project risks and develop recovery and mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with project controls, legal, HR, and compliance teams to address internal project needs and ensure alignment with corporate standards.
Performance Monitoring & Process Optimization
- Maintain project trackers detailing progress on poles, overhead wire, and underground installations.
- Ensure alignment between project schedules and Division engineering efforts.
- Provide clear, consistent updates to project teams to eliminate miscommunication and support proactive issue resolution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 8-10 years preferred.
- PMP, PE, or PgMP certification preferred.
- Proven experience managing infrastructure, energy, or government projects.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and remotely, with 10-15% travel as required.
- Valid driver's license.
