The Division of Cardiovascular Critical Care is eager to add a Project Manager to their administrative team within the Department of Cardiology. The Project Manager will provide administrative support to division leadership, including the Division Chief, and function in a role that will help promote divisional growth through the support of strategic projects.

The Project Manager will provide administrative support to division leadership, including the Division Chief, and function in a role that will help promote divisional growth through the support of strategic projects.
The Administrative Project Manager will:
- Manage a small project or phase(s) of a larger project from initiation/planning through the execution and delivery of the contract concluding with project transition and close, ensuring a successful project.
- Consult with organizational stakeholders. Identify and use appropriate project management tools and concepts (scope management, planning, budget management, risk/ issue management, communications management). Develops and execute work plan. Set priorities for tasks based on importance and urgency. Deliver project on time and within budget.
- Create work products and project deliverables independently. Understand and meet expectations for deliverable quality and timeliness.
- Conduct and/or support complex qualitative and quantitative analysis of project data, summarize findings, draw appropriate conclusions, and effectively communicate results to team. Manage and direct regulatory/ reporting activities related to projects (e.g., IRB, updates/ reports to funding agencies, etc.).
- Manage communication to and relationships with key project stakeholders (internal and external) and institution-wide. Compose, edit, and deliver written and verbal communications. Facilitate group discussions. Keep team members appropriately informed.
- Support research and project management for Divisional or Institutional projects across all phases of the project life-cycle. Develop tools and processes and provide ongoing support.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, Master's preferred. Area of study in Healthcare Management, Science, Business Administration or related field
- Three years of relevant experience. One year of experience managing multiple complex projects preferred.
- The ability to effectively manage multiple demands and projects and/or proposals simultaneously within assigned department/division and to persuade and negotiate with peer level department heads and/or with external agencies/facilities on issues and programs that impact assigned department as well as several other large departments/divisions.
- Advanced knowledge of PC-based software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and manual and web-based applications for collecting/ reporting data
- Demonstrated ability to lead quality improvement and/or process improvement activities. For research efforts, ability to lead and conduct basic secondary research (e.g., literature reviews) and advanced quantitative and qualitative analysis.
