Description:

  • **This position can be onsite or fully remote, but some required meetings are held in-person and due to the nature of the work travel within Maine will be required occasionally.

  • This is a position within MaineHealth's Center for Tobacco Independence.
  • The position will work within CTI's Practice Integration Team to carry out work as part of a State of Maine contract to train and support care teams and providers to integrate evidence-based treatment into their standard care.
The Project Manager has primary responsibility for facilitating the planning, implementation and post implementation phases of various strategic projects and coordination support for one or more MaineHealth programs. Incumbents in this role generally work with end users, team members, functional area managers, and senior management. Incumbents work from specifications, maintain and update documentation, facilitate project team meetings and prepare project materials. The Project Manager will determine the appropriate qualitative and quantitative measures to evaluate progress and successful implementation. These projects will result in measurable improvements that will impact clinical, administrative, financial systems, operational excellence, and/or the infrastructural systems of MaineHealth that will benefit our patients, families and staff. The Project Manager will also provide regular progress reporting to his/her supervisor and other groups as appropriate.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
    • License/Certifications: N/A
    • Experience: Three to five+ years' project management experience preferred. Proven work experience in healthcare as well as knowledge of integrated healthcare systems.
    • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities.
    • Excellent oral and written presentation skills; ability to write and present for a variety of audiences.
    • Demonstrated highly developed organizational skills.
    • A high level of analytical and critical thinking skills are necessary to support dynamic work teams and communicate effectively with a wide variety of patients/families, hospital administrative staff, clinicians and external contacts and vendors.
    • Able to direct team members in a matrixed environment.
    • Utilizes expertise and leadership skills to direct staff and to resolve issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met.
    • Skilled Facilitator
    • Knowledge of computer programs required for this position.
