Geocgi is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage projects involving ArcGIS Cloud, managed services, and implementations for Chicago Illinois' Transit Authority, Metra Rail. The Project Manager will need to manage diverse teams, including sub-consultants, and ensure successful project outcomes in transportation, infrastructure, and public sector environments. This position's primary location is in Chicago, Illinois and anticipated to be onsite at the client's Headquarters.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage diverse teams, including sub-consultants, to ensure successful project outcomes in transportation, infrastructure, and public sector environments.
Oversee the implementation and management of ArcGIS Enterprise cloud hosting and managed services, ensuring that all technical and operational requirements are met.
Guide teams through ArcGIS Enterprise management, ensuring users and administrators are equipped to manage and utilize the system post-implementation.
Manage project timelines, scope, and resources while coordinating with stakeholders for seamless execution.
Develop and present training materials for technical and non-technical audiences, including system overviews, user guides, and best practice documentation.
Deliver projects on time and within budget, with a strong focus on client satisfaction and effective project execution.

The following are requirements of the Project Manager:
US Citizen.
8 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Management, Computer Science, or a related field; or 6 years of experience with a Master's degree; or 4 years of experience with a PhD.
Proven and relatable experience working in the Transportation Industry.
Possess relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, AWS, Azure).
Have a deep understanding of ArcGIS technology, particularly in AWS or Azure cloud hosting and enterprise solutions.
Understand AWS or Azure solutions architecture.
Excellent writing and oral communication skills, including preparing correspondence, written reports, and briefs.
Experience in creating interactive learning materials, such as tutorials, videos, and hands-on exercises, to reinforce training content and enhance learner engagement.
Ability to facilitate clear communication between technical staff, clients, and stakeholders, and translate technical GIS concepts into actionable recommendations for business leaders.
Demonstrated experience in completing projects on teams comprised of participants with diverse engineering, scientific or technical backgrounds.
Proficient in Microsoft Project and standard project management tools; experience with documentation, scheduling, and reporting platforms used in government contracts.
