WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
The Project Manager manages telecom and dry utility projects independently and oversees the design process and technical staff members. In this role, you will actively participate in project design and production phases, gaining experience in project and client management under the guidance of Senior Leaders. You will also be responsible for ensuring the completion of the QA/QC process on projects. This role works closely with Senior Leaders on additional projects. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and profitability of assigned projects, as well as managing the engineers and staff. You'll gain exposure to public and private sector projects, including fiber and wireless telecommunications infrastructure, underground and overhead dry utility design, and coordination with utility providers and municipalities.

- Manage telecom and dry utility projects for public and private sector clients
- Ensure the completion of the QA/QC process for all assigned projects
- Oversee project financials, including budgeting and forecasting
- Maintain frequent communication with clients regarding project progress
- Prepare and review proposals and contracts
- Oversee technical staff and support professional development and performance
- Foster a strong team culture and mentor technical and production staff
- Assist in executing strategic and/or sales plans for your team
- Perform other duties as assigned
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE:
- Civil 3D, or discipline-specific software for telecom and dry utility design
- Proficient in Dunaway CAD standards
- Understanding of utility coordination, permitting, and regulatory requirements
SKILLS:
- In-depth technical knowledge of telecom and dry utility engineering
- Ability to understand and successfully deliver project requirements
- Strong understanding of project financials and performance metrics
- Proficiency in preparing contract fee estimates
- Ability to design and manage multi-discipline and multiple concurrent projects
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills
EXPERIENCE:
- 8+ years of total experience in telecom and/or dry utility engineering
- Generally, 6 or more years of civil or utility design experience
- Generally, 2 or more years of experience as a P.E. (or 9 years of relevant design experience without a degree)
- 1+ years of project task management, including financial analysis experience
- 0-2 years of supervisory experience
- 0-2 years of business development experience
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field (or 9 years of relevant civil design experience without a degree
